Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation approved a five-year Strategic Plan in 2014 and leadership required support in realizing key initiatives including capital expansion as well as launching new programs such as a national community-building initiative, Destination Dance. |
Retreats
Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, MA, is a farm-based ensemble theater company, specializing in performance, training, research, and cultural exchange. At a critical juncture of growth, Board and Staff retreats were key components of developing a formal five-year Strategic Plan. |
Board Development
Classical Theatre of Harlem secured a suite of services from 2021 -2023 spanning fundraising, strategic planning, and Board development that led to sourcing a Governance specialist to underpin ongoing organizational alignment for the Board and Senior Management. |

Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation's $30M flagship building expansion was secured through its Fund for the Future Campaign over a three-year period including a $4M award from the City of New York. |
Dance Theatre Workshop
Breaking New Ground, DTW's $14M Campaign, included the development and construction of performance, rehearsal and service facilities, and the establishment of its first program endowment. |
O Cinema
O Cinema is Miami's non-profit arthouse cinema featuring first-run films, engaging programs and interactive events. In 2023, the quiet phase of it's campaign to expand from South Beach to a second mainland Miami location began the design phase. |

Seminars, Courses and Lectures
For over a decade, Marion has taught seminars at the Yale School of Drama: - The History of Theater Management in the United States - Construction for the Theater Manager. For Winthrop University's Arts Management Program, Marion developed and teaches a seven-week online course in Sustainability and Development for graduate students from Oregon to the Carolinas, Wisconsin to Alabama in as many arts genres and more. At Vassar College, Marion taught a strategic planning course for under-graduates, seeing early plans blossom into theater companies that exist today. |
