Bennett Rink, Executive Director
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
Capital Campaigns
“With her expertise in planning, capital projects and campaign development, Marion Koltun played a vital role in helping the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation roll out a newly approved strategic plan and raise the funds needed to fully realize the plan’s biggest aspirations. We worked with Marion over a three-year period and benefited enormously from her knowledge and skill at a pivotal moment in Ailey’s history. She is the consummate professional, and a real team player.”
Carol Ochs, Executive Director
52nd Street Project
Development Campaigns
“For The 52nd Street Project, Marion helped us develop and plan a $5 million capacity campaign beginning with facilitating our Board retreat, conducting a campaign feasibility study, delivering prospect research, soliciting gifts, and helping the organization to raise its first $3M while positioning staff and leadership to take over upon conclusion of her 18 month contract. Marion has a wide range of skills that will benefit any organization looking to do some in-depth planning and/or a special campaign. She is extremely good at reading where an organization is and what they need to do to accomplish their goals. She is thoughtful and provocative in the best way, making sure everyone is on the same page and doing the deep thinking necessary to bring an organization into its next phase. She is also excellent at developing a plan with action steps both for board and staff and keeping everyone on task. She is a superb writer and can provide enormous hands on support for smaller staffed organizations. She listens well and is a joy to work with.”

Double Edge Theater
Strategic Planning
“Of course, Marion is brilliant when it comes to elevating best practices, creating cohesion, developing boards, and translating vision into long-term strategic planning. What makes working with Marion exceptional is her sensitivity to the story of an organization, where we come from, and who we are. This is what we needed at a crucial moment, and what we got in working with Marion—sensitivity to inner life, identification of how to get out of our own way, and concrete ways to actualize our potential.”

Westport Country Playhouse
Development Projects
“Marion provided us with immediate day-to-day leadership along with a much-needed larger vision of fundraising during her short time at the Playhouse last summer. In the midst of our searches for a new managing director and director of development, Marion's poise and skill were invaluable - what she accomplished far exceeded any expectations. Thanks to her stellar leadership and guidance, Westport Country Playhouse is now in a strong position to meet its fundraising goals.”
